So I have this ugly laminate material for my current backsplash circa 1980. I have purchased 12"x12" glass mosaic tile to replace the ugly stuff. We knew that thinset would never adhere to the laminate, so we tore it off. I’m doing a backsplash myself w/meshbacked tiles and I have finished one wall…but on the side, the mosaic is just free standing, in other words, it’s not backed up against anything. So the tiles are just there with no smooth edge or anything. Do I use caulk? How do I make it look more finished?
