How do you make a tile layout on the floor in a diamond pattern?

I'm about to lay my floor tile. Should I just center my first tile and work around it?

    Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner and start on that line.

    You need to snap chalk lines for the proper size of tile that you have. Start from the center. Work your way out. Warning… laying tiles on an angle requires 10% more tiles and 30% more cuts so before you start, make sure you have enough tiles.
