I bought a bowl at an antique store; how can I find out if it's worth something?

Date August 11, 2010

A friend told me she thinks it’s porcelain. It’s plain, white, unfinished, and thick (about 5/8”). There is no mark on the bottom. I paid .99 for it. I figure it’s worth about what I paid for it. I was going to mosaic with stained glass on the exterior of the bowl, but now I’m worried I’ll be damaging something important. Any thoughts?

all items of any value have "Makers Marks" on the bottom if there are none then the value can’t be determined because the date and manufacture can’t be determined in essance no value or value can’t be proved check closely but if no mark have fun and make it art enjoy

No markings, it is worth 5.99.

Believe me if the antique dealer sold it for $5.99 that is what it is worth. Your chances of it being worth more than that are slim to none.
