I want to add a glass tile backsplash to my kitchen but what color paint should I use on my walls?

I want to add a glass tile mosaic backsplash to my kitchen something like this color but hopefully with a little more greens and reds……

I painted my walls a gold but now hate it and am trying to find a good color to replace it. I have painted two test spots with Benjamin Moore paints Nantucket Gray and Olive Branch. Neither of them is making me go "Oh thats it". My whole living and dining room area is painted Bassett Hall Gold from Porter Paints (which is a deep kahaki color) so I am trying to stay away from beiges. I am eventually going to get dark cabinets and a beigey countertop if this helps. Any suggestions would be great!
My kitchen started off a pale yellow, but because we have a big window in the kitchen it was almost blinding when the sun would shine in….Also I am trying not to go too dark as I am afraid it will look much like a dungeon once I get the dark cabinets in. The paint color Olive Branch I have up is like a sage green….but I keep feeling like I SHOULD go darker….but again am afraid it will be too dark with the cabinets.

    How about a shade of green! It would compliment the copper color in the tiles, is a soothing color and would work well with your khaki color. I have glass tiles back splash with a green, yellow and light brown mosaic design and the sage green paint color looks great!

    Go different colors of green and perhaps one wall yellow. Go get some color charts and that would help you plan alot better!

    if you are quite set on green and like those two colours but want it a little darker, look at
    Benjamin moore;
    gettysburg gray HC-107
    providence olive HC-98

    but I would also like to suggest a totally different route, look at
    Benjamin moore;
    ginger root CC-274
    I think it would look nice with your tile/cabinet selection.

    I think that your green choices are on the right track too.
