need tiles for a mosaic project?

im looking for colored tiles for a mosaic project. its a simple mosaic but has some different shades of colors and such and idk where to get any tiles.
so is there somewhere to get them or do i have to make my own? if i have to make my own then how do i go around doing that?

You can buy single tiles from Home Depot but they aren’t very colourful as manufacturers tend to go for earth tones. Ask if you can use dinner plates which you can get in many colours and cheaply at a salvation army store or even a dollar store. The contour of the plates is a lot more interesting too.Don’t forget your goggles when you break them up.
