the one i was going to buy was: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Conair-Blue-Mosaic-1-Ceramic-Flat-Iron/14321460 it has a cute design and claims to be ceramic. i was wondering if it really is ceramic; also i used one pretty much just like that at my cousins house and it worked SO good and kept my hair straight for a while and my hair is naturally curly and frizzy, i loved it but should i buy it? and if anyone here has one please tell me how it worked out for you, i would really appreciate it. i would use heat protectant spray every time for minimal damage. thanks for the help guyss!
ok, you guys have all been so helpful, here i go again with a question…i had my cabinets painted a cream color, my countertops are granite black, cream colored speckled…i want to keep my kitchen more on the ‘transitional/contemporary’ style so i don’t want a busy tile …i am having the granite go right to the wall, now i have to decide on a tile that will be plain enough but add something to the kitchen…my appliances are stainless and my floor is teak wood. Help again..thanks !
This is not slate tile but actual chunks of slate. The installers were pushing their metal boxes and tools around and now there are all kinds of criss/cross scratches over the slate. I tried to put a floor shine over them but the scratches are still very vivid. What can I do to get rid of those white scratches. They look terrible. The carpet supplier and installer both are totally ignoring my complaint.
I’ve had some Travertine mosaic tiles fitted in my kitchen and there’s a patch where the fitter hasn’t removed enough grout so its flush with the tile itself. What would be the best way/tool to reduce this by a couple of mm, if it is, at all possible . Grout used was a Mapei in the colour range.
i am wanting to put slate around our fireplace instead of the cheap tile thats on there. ive never tiled anything before. is tiling on a wall or fireplace harder than the floor. should i get a professional to do it. and do i have to take the whole fireplace mantle out to do it? will it get myself into a mess trying to do it myself. thanks..
I really hate plain milk. It makes me nauseous. But I need to drink a lot of milk to grow taller because I have mosaic Turner Syndrome. So I plan to drink 2 glasses of chocolate milk in the afternoon. The drink regular milk at night. Will it still be good for me, even though it’s not white milk?
I dont want to buy tiles or have to buy a sheet of glass online. i would rather go to a store and buy the whole sheet that i would have to cut myself. can anyone help me? thanks
So when you’re standing at our kitchen sink and looking at the wood trim around the window…..that wood trim sets flush with the wall (which would be the backsplash) underneath the cabinets. In newer homes this wood trim should normaly stand out about 1/4 of an inch or so and the wall would be set back a bit. So when I put the tile backsplash on, there’s going to be like a 1/4 lip of the backsplash that will stand up from the edge of the wood trim. What’s a person do to make those edges look nice?
ive never tiled anything before. i was thinking of replacing our old tiles around the fireplace and puttnig in slate ones. i am wondering if its a bigger project than it seems. will i have to remove the mantle to do it. is it harder to tile something on the wall or fireplace than the floor? should i just seek a professional or is it easy?thanks
I was wondering if anyone has backsplashed first and then installed countertop up to the backsplash? It would be easier for me to do it this way so then I wouldn’t have to cut any glass tiles. I could just put the excess behind the countertop and then caulk where the tile meets the countertop. Is this a crazy idea?
